Season 1In the broad genre of crime fiction, the `thriller with a twist' has become a legendary sub-genre by itself. aahat is an engrossing, mind-blowing, uncanny, spine-chilling thriller dealing with tales of suspense -- crime thrillers and intricate whodunits, with occasional forays into the ghostly and the macabre, each with an unexpected climax.

SEASON 2

The series is based on ghost stories. Each story focuses on a different aspect of paranormal activity, such as ghosts, zombies, phantoms, undead persons, possessed objects and witches and wizards. Canadian actor, Remi Kaler, worked in this series in 1999 and 2000.
Aahat was first shot in 1994 as a suspense thriller, and began broadcasts in 1996. After about 40 episodes with the same theme, one episode with asupernatural theme was made and when audiences for the series rose sharply, it made the switch.[1]
AAHAT, winner of the Best Thriller Screen Videocon award, is back with more chilling suspense and horror. AAHAT, produced by FIREWORKS (producer of CID), under the able guidance of Mr. B.P.Singh had managed to create a mark as a family thriller six years ago. Having carved a niche for itself in Indian television it promises to contemporarise itself and present a new face with its dedicated team of writers and directors, locations that spread themselves all over India and a reputed cast.

The serial comprises episodic short thriller stories. It has always catered to a wide spectrum of the audience universe providing a vast arena of experiences. The essence of Aahat is tight plotting and scripting, taut dramatic scenes, a frantic roller coaster pace and an ascending momentum. All this is seasoned with spine tingling suspense and a legendary twist. Aahat prides itself on evoking dormant fears in the viewer and maintains a tight leash on the viewers’ minds.

Fear intrigues us the most. Fear affects us the most.
Experience the fatally fearful with AAHAT!

Aahat has been dubbed in Bengali language and broadcast on Sony Aath.
After the successful completion of more than 200 episodes of the season 1, Aahat 2 was telecast on 13 November, 2004 at 10 PM IST on every Saturday. The episode format of this season remained the same just like the season 1, consisting half-hour episodes with each story being split across two episodes. The season was ended in 2007. There was a complete of 21 episodes.Everybody likes a good ghost story; we all have been brought up on a diet of thrilling ghost stories since our childhood. The irony of a good ghost story is that we love to get scared. A good horror story is one which makes us watch it with closed eyes, steals our sleep for many nights, gives us a lump that one can’t swallow & above all it sends a killing chill through the spine. This is what Aahat – Dahshat ki teesri dastak has to offer to its viewer!! After successfully running for more than 250 episodes, the ever popular Horror show is back again with a new look, packed with double the thrill. Aahat – Dahshat ki teesri Dastak needless to say will be a hardcore horror show with sophisticated special effects, stunts, imaginative getups, outdoors locations & cameo castings. Every story would be in an episodic format of 1 hour. New Aahat – Dahshat ki teesri dastak will not follow any specific format of story telling the reason why every episode will be a surprise & every narration will be unique. The only things that would be constant are suspense, mystery & terror. Each story would focus on a larger than life villain (the evil power) with a protagonist. The show will cover the entire realm of supernatural – Ghosts, ghouls, goblins, zombies, haunted houses, ghost towns, possessed objects, witches & wizards, evil magicians, revenge stories, re incarnation stories, etc..
