Aahat (आहट Āhaṭa) was an Indian thriller/horror television series that aired on Sony Entertainment Television and Sony Entertainment Television Asia. The series premiered in 1996 to 25 November 2010. The first three seasons were broadcast on Saturdays only at 10 PM IST. The fourth season was broadcast on Fridays and Saturdays at 11 PM. IST which ended on 26 June 2010. The fifth season was broadcast from 28 June 2010, to 25 November 2010, every Monday to Thursday at 10:30 PM IST. Throughout the globe, Aahatreceived positive critical reception.

This very first season of Aahat was premiered on 5 October 1995. It was telecast on every Thursday at 10 PM IST, later shifted on every Friday at 10:30 PM IST. This season format consisted of half-hour episodes, with each story being split across two episodes. Earlier the stories were based on suspense and thriller than horror. The episodes were full of murder mystery with twist ending. Many actors and actresses of the Indian film industry have been acted like: Shivaji Satam, Om Puri, Mandira Bedi, Ashutosh Rana, and many more. In the year 2001, the series was renamed to Aahat: Dahshat Ke 6 Saal due to its completion of 6 years. This season was ended in 2001. There was a complete of more than 250 episodes.

SEASON 2
The series is based on ghost stories. Each story focuses on a different aspect of paranormal activity, such as ghosts, zombies, phantoms, undead persons, possessed objects and witches and wizards. Canadian actor, Remi Kaler, worked in this series in 1999 and 2000.

After the successful completion of more than 200 episodes of the season 1, Aahat 2 was telecast on 13 November, 2004 at 10 PM IST on every Saturday. The episode format of this season remained the same just like the season 1, consisting half-hour episodes with each story being split across two episodes. The first episode of this season was 13 Miles (Part-1). Urmila Matondkar had made a special appearance in the episodes "Daheshat Part-1" and "Daheshat Part-2" on 30 April 2005 and 7 May 2005 respectively to promote her bollywood film Naina (2005). This season was ended on 21 May 2005. There was a complete of 28 episodes.

SEASON 4[EDIT]
The fourth season was called Aahat - The All New Series, which premiered on 13 November 2009 at 11 PM IST.[2] It stars Chaitanya Choudhury as Harsh, Krystle D'Souza as Yamini and Vishal Gandhi as Raghav, playing the permanent lead who are blessed with special powers but are unaware of it. They work for PASAR (Paranormal and supernatural activities research) where the head is Durjan, an old man who collects power from the spirits for his boss. He has passed his whole life doing this work and in each episode he gives Harsh, Yamini and Raghav a new assignment.[3] Each story had a different star cast along with this trio. The season had threeC.I.D.-Aahat crossover episodes in total, where the events of C.I.D. continued into Aahat. The first crossover episode was the first episode of the season "Khajan Mail" which was telecasted on November 13 2009. Then on 12 February 2010, there was another C.I.D.-Aahat crossover episode "Darr". The season ended on 26 June 2010 with yet another crossover episode of C.I.D.-Aahat - "Shaitaani Khat". There was a complete of 66 episodes with 33 stories.
